Panchagarh: A farmer died from electrocution while irrigating a Boro paddy field at Tetulia upazila in the district today. The deceased was Abdul Gani, 65, son of Tasu Mia of the district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Gani was electrocuted while switching on the motor and fell to the ground on the spot in the Narayanganj area of Shalbahan road in Shalbahan union. The incident was confirmed by Tetulia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Musa Mia.
