Dhaka: The family members of the July Uprising martyred and injured have expressed a willingness to work with the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). They communicated their eagerness during a virtual meeting with BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, which took place at the BNP Chairperson’s office in Gulshan, Dhaka.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event saw participation from several family members of the martyrs and injured individuals. Notable attendees included Shafi Alam, father of Shaheed Wasim, Sabrina Afroz Sebanti, sister of Shaheed Mahmudur Rahman, Mahbubur Rahman, father of Shaheed Mahmudur Rahman, Md. Zakir Hossain, father of Shaheed Faisal Ahmed Shanto, and injured Md. Farhan Jamil.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was present at the event, alongside convener of ‘Amra BNP Paribar’ and member of BNP Media Cell, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, and Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdh, the younger brother of Shaheed Mir Mughd. The gathering highlighted a unified sentiment among the families to align with BNP’s objectives, reflecting the ongoing political engagement following the historical events of the July Uprising.
