Fakhrul Urges Unity for Restoring Democratic Rights

Dhaka: BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir called upon all to remain united to restore the democratic rights of the people of the country, thwarting all conspiracies. He made this appeal during a views-exchange meeting held at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a 20-member delegation consisting of former and current pro-Chhatra Dal doctors from Rangpur Medical College (RMC) Hospital took part in the meeting. During the session, the BNP Secretary General extended his wishes for a speedy recovery to the party Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and expressed hopes for a long life for acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.



Mirza Fakhrul emphasized the need for all concerned to play an active role in strengthening the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB), making it more disciplined and beneficial to the public in all medical colleges and hospitals across the country. Among those present were Professor Dr. Khandaker Ziaul Islam Zia, Professor Dr. Mahamudul Haque Sarkar, Professor Dr. Sariful Islam Mondal, Dr. Tozammel Haque Bakul, Dr. Ziaul Haque, Dr. Abu Md. Ahsan Firoz, Dr. Ashraful Islam, and Dr. Mizanur Rahman Shamim.
