Dhaka: The government has announced the promotion of Fahmida Akhter to the rank of secretary, appointing her to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Fahmida Akhter, an officer of the NDC (7715) batch, was previously serving as an additional secretary in the Ministry of Labour and Employment. Her new role as secretary follows this recent promotion.
Following the reshuffle, the current Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary, Nasreen Jahan, has been reassigned as a Member (secretary) at the Planning Commission. The notification regarding these changes stated that the order has been issued in the public interest and is effective immediately.
