Fahamedul Islam Joins Bangladesh National Football Team’s Conditioning Camp in Saudi Arabia

Taif: Italy-based young midfielder Fahamedul Islam has joined the Bangladesh national football team's ongoing conditioning camp in Taif, Saudi Arabia. Fahamedul arrived at the camp today, following four days of intense practice sessions. He was among the 30 footballers initially called up for the AFC Asian Cup qualifier against India, scheduled for March 25 in Shillong, India. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the conditioning camp commenced on March 6 with 28 players under the guidance of the national football team's Spanish coach, Javier Cabrera. The camp initially excluded Italy-based midfielder Fahamedul Islam and Bangladesh-origin English Premier League player Hamza Chowdhury. Hamza is set to join the team in Dhaka on March 18, as the Bangladesh team plans to travel to Shillong with a 23-member final squad on March 20. The third round of the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers will see Bangladesh face off against India at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Shillong. Alongside India, the other two teams in Ba ngladesh's group are Singapore and Hong Kong.
