Dhaka: Export-import activities between Bangladesh and India through the Hili Land Port will be suspended for nine consecutive days from March 29 due to Eid-ul-Fitr and weekly holidays. The movement of travelers with valid passports and visas, however, will proceed as usual through the Hili immigration check post, stated Nazmul Haque, the general secretary of the Hili Land Port Import-Export Group, Dinajpur.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the suspension of import-export activities with India at the land port is scheduled from March 29 to April 5 in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr. The operations will recommence on April 6, as confirmed by Hili Land Port Import-Exporters Association President Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi.

Officer-in-Charge of Hili Immigration Check Post Inspector Md. Ariful Islam confirmed that, despite the closure of import-export activities at the Hili Land Port for Eid-ul-Fitr, the immigration services for travelers with valid passports and visas between the two countries will continue uninterrupted through the immigration check post.
