Dhaka: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued directives for expatriate Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims, mandating health check-ups and vaccinations in preparation for the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the ministry has specified that registered expatriate Bangladeshi pilgrims intending to perform Hajj in 2026 must undergo health examinations and receive prescribed vaccinations, including Meningitis and Influenza, at reliable hospitals or diagnostic centers in their respective countries. This measure aims to ensure smooth Hajj management. A press release from the ministry outlines that pilgrims must sign a declaration form and send scanned copies of their medical reports and supporting documents to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) via email and to their respective agency by March 6.

Subsequent to the health check-ups, the concerned agencies are instructed to issue an undertaking on their official pad, secure a countersignature from the relevant lead agency, and submit printed copies of the medical reports and supporting documents directly to the Director of Disease Control and Line Director of DGHS by March 8.

For those registered under the government channel, the same health examinations and vaccinations are required. They must also send signed copies of their medical reports, supporting documents, and the declaration form to both the DGHS and the ministry’s specified email addresses.

Upon review of the submitted documents and declarations, the designated physician by the DGHS will enter the reports into the e-Hajj system and issue e-Health Certificates by March 10. Additionally, all Hajj pilgrims must complete their visa applications through the Saudi Nusuk Masar system by March 11.
