Kathmandu: The Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that both minimum and maximum temperatures in most parts of the country have increased in the past few days resulting in hotter days. Issuing a special public bulletin on Monday, the Department has asked one and all to remain cautious since the maximum temperature in some parts of Lumbini, Madesh and Sudurpaschim provinces was recorded at 40 degrees Celsius or more. The Department has stated that excessive hot is likely for some days in Tarai area and has urged all to apply precautions or make needed preparations. "These areas could witness a hot wave from 22 to 26 April. People are requested for needed precautions to keep themselves safe from the impact of the hot wave," the Department's special bulletin states. Likewise, the Division has asked people to remain inside the home in time of excessive heat, avoid travel, cover head while going out from home, wear cap, drink water and juice frequently, an d stay in contact with the health workers in case of health issues.
