Ex-State Minister Mizanur Rahman Sinha Laid to Rest in Munshiganj

Munshiganj: Former State Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Convener of BNP’s Munshiganj district unit Mizanur Rahman Sinha was laid to rest today at his family graveyard in Dohari village under Kolma Union in Munshiganj. The burial followed a series of funeral prayers held in Dhaka, after which his body was transported to his ancestral home in Louhajong Upazila. The main janaza took place at Kolma High School ground following the Asr prayer, after which he was interred beside his parents’ graves.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the funeral was attended by parliament members Advocate Abdus Salam Azad and Md. Kamruzzaman, along with former district BNP Member Secretary Md. Mohiuddin, numerous local BNP leaders, activists, and a large number of people from the community.



Mizanur Rahman Sinha passed away while receiving medical treatment in Singapore last Friday at approximately 2:00 am. Born on August 18, 1943, in Dohari village, Sinha was the son of Hamidur Rahman Sinha. His political career included being elected as a Member of Parliament from the Munshiganj-2 (Louhajong-Sirajdikhan) constituency in both 1996 and 2001.
