Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has arrested former senior secretary to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief Shah Kamal from the city's Mohakhali area. Members of the DB conducted a raid and arrested Shah Kamal from a house located in Mohakhali DOHS area of the capital last night. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Public Relations and Media Wing of the DMP M Obaidur Rahman confirmed the matter to journalists. Earlier on Friday, the DMP conducted a raid at a house of the ex-senior secretary on Babar Road in the city's Mohammadpur area and recovered cash worth around Taka 3.11 crore, including foreign currencies. Of the total recovered money, Taka 3.01 crore was in cash, Taka 74,400 was in prize bonds and Taka 10.03 lakh was in various foreign currencies. Source: Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha
