Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two former lawmakers from Dhaka and Chattogram districts in connection with cases filed over attacks on student-people during the anti-discrimination student movement.
RAB personnel rounded up Abdur Rouf, former MP from Kushtia-4 constituency, from the capital city’s Mirpur area early today, while Ekramul Karim Chowdhury, ex-lawmaker of Noakhali-4, from Khulshi of Chattogram district on Tuesday night, said sources at RAB media and legal wing.
Both of the former lawmakers will be produced before courts today.
