Ex-Jubo League Leader Fatally Stabbed in Bogura

Dhaka: A former leader of the Jubo League was stabbed to death by unidentified assailants at Ashkola East Para in the Sadar upazila of the Bogura district on Sunday night. The victim, Saiful Islam, aged 50, previously served as the vice president of the Noongola union unit of the Jubo League. He was the son of Abed Ali from the Baghopara area.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Officer-in-Charge of the Sadar Police Station, Ibrahim Ali, reported that Saiful was intercepted by three young men while he was returning home from Baghopara Bazar around 10:30 PM. An argument ensued between Saiful and the assailants, during which they attacked him with a machete, inflicting severe injuries.

Saiful succumbed to his injuries while being transported to Sadar Hospital. Upon receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and subsequently sent Saiful's body to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital for further examination.

The motive behind the attack remains unclear, and authorities are actively investigating to identify and apprehend the individuals responsible for the murder.
