Ex-AG Mohammad Ali’s Contribution Will Be Kept Written in History: CJ

Dhaka: Chief Justice Syed Refaat Ahmed today emphasized that former Attorney General (AG) Senior Advocate AJ Mohammad Ali’s significant contribution to the country’s judiciary will be documented in history. He made these remarks at a memorial meeting organized by ‘AJ Mohammad Ali and Associates’ at the Supreme Court Bar Association auditorium.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, recalling the contributions of Mohammad Ali, who was also a former President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, the Chief Justice noted that Mohammad Ali was a man of integrity and earned respect from all, including legal professionals. The void created by his demise is an irreparable loss to the country’s legal sector.



Chief Justice Refaat Ahmed stated, “Mohammad Ali’s ideals, actions, and values continue to guide us even today. I believe that his important contribution to the judiciary of Bangladesh will be written in the pages of history.”



The memorial meeting featured Senior Advocate Zainul Abedin, Vice Chairman of the Bar Council, as the main speaker. Attorney General Md. Asaduzzaman participated as a special guest at the event. Other speakers included Former Speaker Barrister Jamiruddin Sirkar, President of the Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Former Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Bar Council Barrister Md. Ruhul Quddus Kajal, BNP Law Secretary and Secretary General of the Nationalist Lawyers Forum Barrister Kaiser Kamal, and Senior Lawyer AHM Mushfiqur Rahman Tuhin.



The meeting was presided over by Former Justice Md. Sharif Uddin Chaklader. Late AJ Mohammad Ali’s wife, Farzana Ali, and daughter, Radia Khandaker, also addressed the gathering. The event concluded with prayers for the eternal peace of late AJ Mohammad Ali.
