Dhaka: Bangladesh U-20 women’s football team went through a full day recovery session ahead of their third match against Bhutan.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bangladesh will face Bhutan in their third match of the SAFF U-20 Women’s Championship at the Bashundhara Kings Arena in the capital on Tuesday. Ahead of this crucial encounter, team manager Mahmuda Akter emphasized the importance of treating each match with equal significance in the tournament.
“Definitely we have an aim in the tournament but as we’ll have to play four more matches, so we want to go match by match … we are giving each match in equal importance,” said Akter in an audio message on Monday. She confirmed that the team’s overall condition is satisfactory, with only a few minor injuries. The athletes participated in a full day recovery session that included swimming and gym activities, which they found enjoyable.
Team captain Afeida Khandakar also shared her thoughts on the recovery day, expressing that the session was beneficial. She added that the coach would provide guidelines later, which the team plans to implement during the Bhutan match.
