EU Delegation Calls on PM

Dhaka: A European Union (EU) delegation led by its Ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller today met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Cabinet Division office in the Bangladesh Secretariat here, said premier’s Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting focused on strengthening the bilateral relations between the EU and Bangladesh. Discussions included various aspects of cooperation, including trade, investment, and development projects. Both parties expressed a commitment to furthering mutual interests and enhancing collaboration in multiple sectors.



The EU Ambassador highlighted the significance of Bangladesh as a partner in South Asia and reiterated the EU’s support for Bangladesh’s developmental goals. Prime Minister Rahman acknowledged the EU’s contributions and expressed optimism for future joint initiatives. The meeting concluded with an agreement to continue dialogues and explore new opportunities for partnership.
