Dhaka: Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammed Aminur Rashid today emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and effective monitoring to ensure the successful implementation of government programmes. He urged officials to approach their duties with responsibility and sincerity.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the minister made these remarks during a discussion held this morning in the conference room of his ministry. The meeting saw the participation of joint secretaries, higher-ranking officials, and various project directors, all focusing on the implementation of the government's 180-day programme.
Minister Rashid highlighted that the 180-day programme is a pro-people initiative aimed at fulfilling the development plan announced by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and the commitments of the government party. He noted that the main objective of this initiative is to effect positive changes in people's lives through its successful execution.
The minister stressed the importance of informing the general public about government development activities in a straightforward manner. He expressed a desire to cultivate a transparent and accountable environment, ensuring that government activities are implemented correctly and that the public reaps the intended benefits.
