Dhaka: State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj today announced that the government is working towards creating a coordinated and accountable framework to ensure quality education for all students nationwide. "To this end, all English medium schools in the country are being brought under a uniform policy," he stated during a visit to 'The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka.'
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bobby Hajjaj emphasized that this initiative aims to guarantee the quality of education, excellence in teaching, student safety, institutional accountability, and alignment with national interests. Highlighting the need to eliminate educational inequality, he explained that the government aspires to establish an inclusive education system. This system would enable students from Bangla medium, English version, or English medium schools to acquire national values, civic responsibility, and internationally recognized skills.
The state minister elaborated on the vision for the education system, stating, "We want to establish an education system where students will not just chase after achieving good results in examinations; rather, they will learn to think independently, learn to innovate, and learn to lead the future generation." He underscored that these young individuals are the future leaders of Bangladesh, and one of the primary objectives is to equip them with world-class skills, moral values, and creativity.
During his visit, Bobby Hajjaj attended the 'Student Exhibition' and expressed keen interest in the various research, innovative projects, and creative presentations by the students. He praised their talent and lauded the institution's modern education system, student-centered teaching, and leadership development programs. He urged the authorities to further expand research, innovation, and creative education programs in educational institutions across the country.
The event was attended by teachers and students of The Aga Khan Academy Dhaka, along with senior ministry officials.
