Dhaka: Engineers and technicians from Bangladesh and Japan have commenced the installation of a bearing pad for the metro rail at Farmgate following an incident earlier today where one fell off.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the work to install the bearing pad began around 3 pm, shortly after the incident occurred. An official from the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) informed journalists at the site about the ongoing efforts. Engineers and technicians are utilizing cranes to assist in the installation of the replacement pad.
Tragically, a pedestrian lost his life when the bearing pad fell on him at approximately 12:20 pm.
