Dhaka: Additional Secretary of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Md. Ziaul Haque has been assigned the additional responsibility of Chairman of the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the announcement was made through an office order issued today by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division under the Ministry of Power and Mineral Resources. The decision entrusts Md. Ziaul Haque with the dual role to ensure the smooth functioning of the BPC’s official operations.
The order specifies that he will undertake the responsibilities of the BPC Chairman in conjunction with his existing duties until further instructions are provided. This temporary arrangement aims to maintain continuity in the leadership and management of BPC.
The office order was issued following approval from the competent authority and was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Sabrina Afrin Mustafa. Copies of this directive have been disseminated to the Office of the Chairman of BPC, the Chairman of Petrobangla, and relevant officials within the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, as well as to other concerned branches of the ministry, to facilitate necessary actions.
