Dhaka:Additional Secretary Md Emdadul Haque Chowdhury has taken on the role of Acting Secretary of the Ministry of Land.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Emdadul Haque assumed his new responsibilities following a notification from the Ministry of Public Administration. He is an officer of the 18th BCS (Administration) Cadre and was previously the Additional Secretary of the Digitalization, Knowledge Management and Performance, and Development Wing of the Ministry of Land.
He takes over from Senior Secretary A S M Saleh Ahmed, whose contractual appointment recently ended. Upon taking charge, Emdadul Haque held a meeting with ministry officials and employees, outlining the future work plan and emphasizing the importance of ensuring that land-related services are directly accessible to people at their doorsteps.
