Tangail: An electrician was electrocuted at Khunir Chala village of Kakrajan union under Sakhipur upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, 28, son of Nur Mohammad of the same village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sohel Rana got electrocuted when he was disconnecting an electricity line from a transformer around 11:30 am. Abul Kalam Bhuiyan, Officer-in-Charge of Sakhipur Police Station, confirmed the incident.
Later, Sohel Rana was taken to the upazila health complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
