Election Materials Dispatched to Polling Centres in Five Narsingdi Constituencies

Narsingdi: Election materials and ballot papers for the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election have been dispatched to 663 polling centres in five constituencies of Narsingdi district amid enthusiasm among election officials. From 10am on Wednesday, presiding and polling officers, accompanied by members of law enforcement agencies, began collecting ballot boxes, ballot papers, and other necessary materials from the offices of assistant returning officers in six upazilas.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, District Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Anwar Hossain stated that enhanced security arrangements have been taken at 393 of the 663 polling centres to ensure peaceful voting. Of these, 250 centres have been identified as highly vulnerable. He mentioned that CCTV cameras and multi-layered security measures have been installed at the vulnerable centres to prevent any untoward incidents.



The district administration reports that there are 1,971,237 registered voters in five municipalities and 71 unions under the five constituencies. The electorate consists of 1,003,004 male voters, 970,987 female voters, and 36 third-gender voters. A total of 41 candidates are contesting in the five constituencies.
