Bogura: An elderly woman was killed in a road accident at Aria Bazar under Shajahanpur upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Zahura Bewa, 80, a resident of Bamunia Mandal Para of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 7 am when a bus of ‘Shyamoli Paribahan’ ran over the woman as she was crossing the road, said Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shajahanpur Police Station Shafiqul Islam. She died on the spot, he said.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital, the OC added.
