Sherpur: An elderly man was killed in a road accident at Julgaon area under Jhenaigati upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Ashraf Ali, 80, a resident of the same area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident took place around 11 am on the Jhenaigati-Sherpur road when a bus ran over pedestrian Ashraf Ali, leaving him dead on the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Jhenaigati Police Station, Al Amin, confirmed the incident.
