Munshiganj: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in front of Padma Bridge Uttar Thana on the Dhaka-Mawa expressway of the district today. The deceased was Ishaq Madbar, 77, of Borokandi village of Zanjira upazila of Shariatpur district.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, police reported that the accident occurred when a private car hit Madbar, leaving him dead on the spot. The body of the victim was handed over to his family members, said Padma Bridge Uttar Thana Officer-in-Charge Jakir Hossain.
