Kurigram: An elderly man was killed in a road accident in the Cinema Hall area under Chilmari upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was identified as Nasim Uddin Dewani, 70, a resident of Samajpara village under Thanahat union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 9 am on the Bajragami road when a speedy tractor ran over Nasim Uddin while he was crossing the road. He died on the spot. Officer-in-Charge of Chilmari Police Station, Alamgir Hossain, confirmed the matter.
