Tangail: An elderly man died after being run over by a train in the Tepibari area under Bhuapur upazila of the district this morning.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deceased was identified as Abdul Jalil, 80, a resident of the same area. Abdul Jalil was run over by a Bhuapur-bound mail train and died on the spot while he was going to his paddy field along the rail line around 10 am, said Abdul Quader, station master of Bhuapur Railway Station.
Bhuapur Police Station Officer-in-Charge AKM Rezaul Karim confirmed the matter.
