Dhaka:Eight additional dengue-related fatalities have been reported, and 1,860 new patients have been hospitalized across the country in the last 24 hours.
According to United News of Bangladesh, this brings the total number of dengue deaths to 289 this year, as stated by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). The latest deaths include two each from Dhaka South City Corporation, Khulna, and Rajshahi divisions, with one reported each in Sylhet and Barishal divisions.
Currently, 5,775 patients are receiving treatment for dengue in various hospitals nationwide.
Since January 1, a total of 92,216 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals, with 86,152 of them having recovered.
