Manikganj: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, commemorating the birth and demise anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), was observed with due religious solemnity and state honor in Manikganj, as well as across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Manikganj District Administration, with support from the Islamic Foundation, organized various programs to mark the day. These included a discussion meeting, Dua-Mahfil, and the distribution of cheques. Additional Deputy Commissioner (General and Revenue) Mohammad Ali attended the discussion as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of following the life and ideology of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for Muslims.
The event saw participation from several notable figures, including the Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation, Manikganj Md. Mostafizur Rahman, former District Education Officer Md Abul Monnaf Khan, and former Deputy Director of the Islamic Foundation Md. Akram Hossain, alongside officials and devotees from various mosques. Special prayers were held at different mosques seeking divine blessings for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country and the welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
Following the discussion, cheques allocated by the Islamic Foundation were distributed to selected poor and distressed individuals in the district, providing much-needed support to the community.
