Chattogram: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, marking the birth and passing of the Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH), is set to be observed in Chattogram on September 6 with religious fervour and solemnity. A vibrant 'Jasne Julush' rally will commence from the city's Sholosohor Alamgir Khankha Sharif at 8 am on Saturday, organized by Anjuman-e-Rahmania Ahmadiyya Sunnia Trust (ARAST).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Gausia Committee Bangladesh has called upon devotees to hold processions in their respective district headquarters on the same day. Advocate Moshaheb Uddin Bakhtiyar, coordinator of ARAST, informed journalists that the procession will be lively throughout the city.
Preparations and campaigns are underway in the city and extend to various districts, upazilas, and even villages within the Chattogram division. Bakhtiyar mentioned that preparations for the procession have been in progress for a month, with responsibilities assigned based on over five decades of experience.
Awalade Rasul, Allama Syed Muhammad Sabir Shah (RA), is set to lead one of the world's largest processions organized by ARAST. The procession will also welcome honoured guests Shahzada Syed Muhammad Qasim Shah (RA) and Syed Muhammad Mehmud Ahmad Shah (RA).
The city is embellished with decorated arches at several intersections, with red and green national flags, Anjuman flags, banners, and festoons adorning the road islands and divisions. The illuminations at Kazir Deuri intersection, Jamia Ahmadia Sunnia Madrasa, Khankah area, and Madunaghat Bridge are noteworthy.
In honour of Miladunnabi (PBUH), Milad and Fateha events are being organized in different neighbourhoods, with cow sacrifices marking the celebrations. This year, volunteers from the Anjuman Security Force (ASF), Gausia Committee Bangladesh, and Jamia students will participate in the events.
