Eid-e-Miladunnabi Celebrated with Religious Observance in Khulna

Khulna: The holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi, which marks the birth and demise anniversary of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SM), was observed in Khulna with religious fervor and dignity on Saturday. The day was commemorated through discussions, prize distribution, Milad mahfils, and special prayers at various institutions.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khulna City Corporation (KCC) organized a program at the Nagar Bhaban on Saturday morning. The event featured discussions on the life and ideals of Prophet Muhammad (SM), followed by prize distribution and prayers. Additional Divisional Commissioner Md. Firoz Shah attended the event as the chief guest, with KCC Chief Engineer Moshiuzzaman Khan presiding over the program.



The event was addressed by several dignitaries, including Deputy Director of Islamic Foundation Md. Rafiqul Islam, General Secretary of Imam Parishad Mawlana Golam Kibria, General Secretary of KCC Teachers’ Association Mawlana Md. Hafizur Rahman, and Madrasa Principal Ehsanul Haque.



On the occasion, different educational institutions such as Khulna University (KU), Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Khulna Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah University (KKBAU), and Khulna Press Club separately arranged discussion meetings, Milad, and doa mahfils.



Similar events were also held at various educational institutions and mosques across the city, focusing on the life and wisdom of the Prophet (PBUH). Khulna Shishu Academy organized various programs including competitions of Hamd-Nath, essay writing, and recitation from the holy Quran, followed by prize distribution to mark the day.
