Madaripur: An egg trader was killed in a road accident in Ashram area under Dasar upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Nur Nabi, 45, a resident of the area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when an egg-laden pickup van fell into a roadside ditch after the driver lost control of the vehicle. Nur Nabi, who was a passenger in the van, sustained injuries in the incident, as confirmed by Sheakh Md. Ahteshamul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dasar Police Station.
Nur Nabi was promptly taken to Kalkini Upazila Health Complex, but the on-duty doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
