Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) is set to publish the draft voter list on August 10 in preparation for the upcoming 13th national polls. This announcement was made by Additional Secretary of the EC, AKM Ali Newaz, who shared that the commission will proceed with verifying and scrutinizing these draft lists before releasing the final version.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the final voter list is expected to be published soon after the scrutiny of the draft voter list, potentially being finalized by August 31. This careful verification process aims to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the voter lists before the national elections.
Earlier, on July 21, Senior Secretary to the EC, Akhter Ahmed, had informed the media that the draft voter list would be released within the current month. He further noted that a total of 4,466,000 new voters have already been added to the voter list, and these individuals will be included in the draft as per the decision of the commission.
