EC Registers 81 Local Observer Organizations for Upcoming Elections

Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has officially registered 81 local election observer organizations in preparation for the forthcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election and an accompanying referendum. This announcement marks a significant step in ensuring transparent and fair election processes.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC disclosed the list of these registered observer organizations, with the document being signed by Md. Ruhul Amin Mollik, Director (Public Relations) and Information Officer of the EC Secretariat. This registration process was conducted in two distinct phases to ensure thorough scrutiny and compliance with election observation standards.

In the initial phase, commencing on November 6, 66 local observer organizations received their registrations, valid from November 6, 2025, to November 5, 2030. Subsequently, in the second phase, following meticulous examination, 15 additional local observer organizations were granted final approval. These organizations are registered for a five-year period, stretching from December 4, 2025, to December 3, 2030.

All registered observer organizations will be authorized to monitor the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, as well as various local government elections, in accordance with the Election Observation Guidelines 2025. This comprehensive registration effort underscores the EC's commitment to facilitating impartial election monitoring throughout the electoral process.
