Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has issued an amended gazette notification correcting the results of the referendum held on February 12 on the July National Charter (Constitutional Reform) Implementation Order, 2025 and related constitutional reform proposals. The notification was published on Wednesday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the amended results reveal that the number of 'Yes' votes now stands at 4,72,25,980, a correction from the previously published figure of 4,82,00,660. The revised data also shows the number of 'No' votes as 2,19,60,231, which had earlier been reported as 22,071,726. Furthermore, the corrected number of rejected votes is 74,35,196, whereas it was previously stated as 74,22,637. The total number of votes cast in the referendum has been revised to 76,621,407, in contrast to the earlier reported figure of 77,695,023.
