Chattogram: The East Bengal Regiment of the Bangladesh Army today held its ‘Army Chief Parade’ Ceremony for the Recruit Batch-2024 at the East Bengal Regimental Center (EBRC) in Chattogram Cantonment. Chief of General Staff (CGS) of the Bangladesh Army, Lt Gen Mizanur Rahman Shamim, graced the occasion as the chief guest, as per a release from Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) this evening.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the CGS inspected the parade and took the salute as the newly trained soldiers of the East Bengal Regiment formally joined the Bangladesh Army. During his speech, the chief guest urged the young soldiers to prepare themselves for the challenges of the 21st century by acquiring essential skills and expertise.
Highlighting the proud heritage and contributions of the Bangladesh Army, particularly in providing modern and comprehensive training, Lt Gen Shamim encouraged the recruits to dedicate themselves to serving their motherland. The event was attended by senior military and
civil officials from the Chattogram region, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), soldiers of various ranks, invited guests, and the family members of the recruits.
