Dutch-Bangla Bank Named Title Sponsor of Bangladesh Premier League.

Dhaka: Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) today announced Dutch-Bangla Bank as the title sponsor for the 11th edition of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). The Bank's mobile financial service, Rocket, and e-wallet app, NexusPay, will serve as powered-by sponsors and co-sponsors. The logo was unveiled today after a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The BCB had already confirmed that the tournament will run from December 30, 2024, to February 7, 2025. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, this year's BPL will feature seven teams: Dhaka Capitals, Chittagong Kings, Durbar Rajshahi, Fortune Barishal, Khulna Tigers, Rangpur Riders, and Sylhet Strikers. Notably absent in this edition are two familiar teams, Comilla Victorians and Chattogram Challengers. Additionally, the ownership of Dhaka has changed, and Durbar Rajshahi has made its return to the league. BCB Director and BPL Governing Council Member Secretary Nazmul Abedin Fahim, along with Dutch-Bangla Bank Managing Director Abul Kas hem Md. Shireen, and popular actor and producer Afzal Hossain, who represented the ground branding rights holder of BPL, were present at the press conference. Representatives of BCB and the BPL Governing Council expressed their gratitude to Dutch-Bangla Bank for sponsoring the BPL. The matches of BPL will be broadcast live on TSports, Gazi TV, the TSports app, and the RabbitholeBd app.
