Rajshahi: Adviser to the BNP Chairperson and former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation, Mizanur Rahman Minu, expressed that this year’s Durga Puja is being celebrated in an exceptionally peaceful manner compared to previous years. After visiting several Puja Mandaps in the Rajshahi metropolitan city, Minu noted the remarkable peace and order during the festivities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Minu emphasized that leaders and activists of the BNP have been actively ensuring that the Durga Puja is conducted smoothly. He visited Puja Mandaps at Saheb Bazar, Kumarpara, and on the bank of the River Padma, where he interacted with the Hindu community, exchanging pleasantries and discussing the ongoing celebrations.
Rajshahi Metropolitan President of Bangladesh Hindu-Baudhha-Christian Kalyan Front, Achinto Kumar Biswas Santu, affirmed the peaceful nature of the celebrations during Minu’s visits. He highlighted that appropriate security arrangements are in place, ensuring a stable law and order situation, allowing everyone to enjoy the festivities without any issues.
Prominent figures such as Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Forest and Environment Affairs Adviser Mosaddek Hossain Bulbul and former councilor Rabiul Alam Milu accompanied Minu during his visits, further supporting the peaceful conduct of the Durga Puja celebrations this year.
