A student of Dhaka University drowned while swimming at the swimming pool of the university's physical education centre here this afternoon. The deceased Shoad Haque (19) was a first-year student of the university's Philosophy Department and also a resident student of Haji Muhammad Mohsin Hall. 'Soon after finding him unconscious, the fellow students took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty physicians declared him dead at 2:00pm', in-charge of the DMCH police outpost Md Bachchu Mia told BSS.
