Dhaka: The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) announced special admission facilities for the family members of those martyred or injured in the historic student-led July-August mass uprising. These privileges will be available during the admission process for the first-year undergraduate program under the 2024-2025 academic session, as stated in a DU press release today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the decision was taken recently at the deans’ committee meeting of the university. The announcement specifies that the spouse, sons, and daughters of gazetted martyred or injured individuals will be eligible for the special facilities. In the absence of a spouse or children, the benefits will be extended to the victims’ siblings.
