Accra:The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has launched a Management Information System (MIS) software to streamline the disbursement of scholarships to students. This initiative, using Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), targets both merit-based and general scholarship beneficiaries under the DSHE's revenue budget, as well as students who received scholarships from the Madrasah Education Board but are now pursuing general education.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the DSHE has issued an order instructing the heads of relevant institutions and designated officials to ensure accurate data entry and rectify any existing errors. This process is facilitated by the MIS software, accessible at https//scholarship.dshe.gov.bd/DSHE-MIS/login, with a deadline of November 19 for completion.
The order highlights the necessity of correcting banking details for students whose scholarship payments failed due to errors such as incorrect bank information or inactive accounts. It mandates that all relevant student data be updated and verified to prevent future transaction failures.
Furthermore, institution heads have been directed to assign two teachers to oversee the precise entry of scholarship data. The responsibility for any data discrepancies or irregularities during the entry or correction process will fall on the institution heads or designated officials.
