Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that the weather across Bangladesh is expected to remain dry with a temporarily partly cloudy sky over the next 24 hours.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin, effective from 9 am today, indicated that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds are likely to occur at one or two places within the Sylhet division.
The forecast further mentions a slight increase in day temperatures across the country, with night temperatures expected to rise by 1-2 degrees Celsius. A trough of low pressure is currently situated over West Bengal and adjacent areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay, as per the Met office.
Yesterday, Jashore in Khulna Division recorded the highest temperature at 35.8 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature today was noted at 18.0 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat and Dimla of Rangpur division. In the capital, the sun is set to set at 6:07 pm today and will rise at 6:08 am tomorrow.
