Dhaka: Detective Branch (DB) of police arrested a drug trader and seized 2,000 yaba tablets from a residential area in Turag city today. The arrestee was identified as Sheikh Moinuddin Azam, also known as Azam, 28.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, stated that the police conducted a drive targeting drugs and drug traders in the city. As part of this initiative, a DB team from the Gulshan division executed a raid in Turag city at 7:05 am, resulting in the arrest of Azam.
The police have confirmed that legal action against the arrestee is currently underway.
