Dhaka: Police yesterday arrested a professional drug trader named Milon Hossain with a motorbike and recovered 1400 pieces of yaba tablets from the city's Fulbaria Star Bakery area.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a team of Bangshal police station set up check posts in front of the Star Bakery area at about 7:30 am on Wednesday and arrested Milon with a motorbike. The team also recovered 1400 yaba tablets from his possession.
During primary interrogation, Milon Hossain stated he was involved in drug trading for a long time. He usually collects yaba tablets from Ibrahim and Sohel of the Mohakhali area. Milon was carrying the yaba tablets for selling those in the Madaripur upazila, police said.
A case was filed against Milon Hossain with Bangshal police station under the Narcotics Control Act. Later, he was produced before the court.
