Satkania: A drug dealer named Md. Anwar, aged 27, was apprehended with 11 kilograms of ganja during a special police operation in Satkania, Chattogram today. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Satkania Police Station, Manjurul Haque, confirmed the arrest and indicated that it took place at around 1:30 am in the Tech area of Dhupi Para in Kanchana Union. An auto-rickshaw, allegedly used for transporting the drugs, was also confiscated from Anwar during the operation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sub-Inspector (SI) Md. Emran Hossain and a police force intercepted an unregistered CNG auto-rickshaw in the Tech area of Dhupi Para and carried out a search. They discovered 11 kilograms of marijuana packed in 11 packets wrapped in blue polythene inside a white plastic bag on the back seat of the vehicle.
Anwar was caught in the act, and a case was filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act-2018. He has been remanded to jail through the court.
