DRU, CRAB condole death of AL leader Abdul Haque Sobuj

Leaders of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) and Crime Reporters Association of Bangladesh (CRAB) today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Abdul Haque Sobuj, Dhaka South City Awami League’s Senior Advisor.

In separate condolence messages, DRU President Mursalin Nomani and General Secretary Mynul Hasan Sohel and CRAB President Mirza Mehedy Tomal and General Secretary Mamunur Rashid prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Sobuj died of kidney ailments at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital here last night at the age of 68.

He left behind three sons, including DRU and CRAB member and special correspondent of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Ahsraful Haque Jewel, three daughters and a host of relatives, friends, admirers and political fellows to mourn his death. Sobuj’s wife Feroza Begum died on October 29 in 2015.

Sobuj, who hailed from Madaripur district, was elected as Vice President (VP) of Habibullah Bahar College Central Students’ Union twice.
