During the meeting, CPC leader Junzheng said that his visit's key objective was to advance the implementation of the agreements and MoUs held between Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and Chinese President Xi Jinping during Prachanda's recent China visit.

Junzheng said that China has always respected Nepal's sovereignty and expressed his pleasure towards Nepal's unwavering support to the one-China policy, DPM Shrestha's press advisor Kamal Giri stated.

Likewise, Junzheng said China would extend further assistance to the earthquake affected people in the districts of Jajarkot and Rukum Paschim.

Furthermore, the CPC leader said all border points along the Nepal-China bordering area have already resumed and some news border points have also come into operation.

According to Giri, DPM Shrestha said that Nepal-China relations have advanced on party to party, people to people and government to government levels and praised China's support to Nepal's development efforts and disaster response as well.

"Nepal has already accepted the BRI and the BRI projects would help grow weak economies. For this, the infrastructure development work should be advanced effectively and extensively," Shrestha stated.
