A door-to-door fish seller was found dead at the top of a staircase leading to the rooftop of a four-storey building in Hatirjheel Monday, police said.
The deceased was identified as Manik, 36, of Daudkandi upazila of Cumilla.
A resident of Mirbagh of Hatirjheel, Manik was found near the stairs to the rooftop of a building in Mirbagh Shopno Gali, Inspector (Operation) of Hatirjheel Police Station Abdul Quddus said Manik said.
On information, police went to the spot and recovered the body at around 12:30pm, he added.
The cause of Manik’s death can be determined by an autopsy, Inspector Quddus said.
