Doa Mahfil Held in Gobindaganj Seeking Khaleda Zia’s Recovery

Gobindaganj: A doa mahfil was held seeking the quick recovery of ailing BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia on the premises of Paygayra Government Primary School under Gumaniganj union in Gobindaganj upazila on Monday afternoon.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Gumaniganj Union BNP and its associate bodies organized the programme, presided over by Union BNP President Mahatab Sawdagor. Speakers at the event stated that Khaleda Zia is a symbol of unity and a guiding force for restoring democracy and safeguarding the country's independence and sovereignty. They emphasized that there is no alternative to her leadership in steering the nation through crises.

The participants expressed hope that Allah would accept their prayers and grant her a swift recovery. A special munajat was also offered on the occasion. Vice-President of district BNP and convener of Gobindaganj upazila BNP Faruk Kobir Ahmed, joint convener Zakir Hossain Jewel, former organising secretary Abdul Gofur Mondal, and former general secretary of upazila Jubo Dal Zakirul Islam addressed the event, which was attended by hundreds of BNP leaders, activists, and supporters.
