DMP Takes Action Against 1,721 Traffic Violations in Dhaka

Dhaka: The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has taken stringent measures by filing 1,721 cases against individuals violating traffic rules across various parts of the capital.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of DMP, NM Nasiruddin, stated that the DMP traffic division conducted an intensive campaign targeting traffic rules violators over the last 24 hours, resulting in the filing of these cases. As part of the campaign, the DMP traffic police also impounded 382 motor vehicles and towed 144 vehicles.



The enforcement drive resulted in the filing of 93 cases in the Ramna zone, 152 in the Lalbagh zone, 160 in the Motijheel zone, and 281 in the Wari zone. Additionally, 180 cases were filed in the Tejgaon zone, 416 in the Mirpur zone, 241 in the Uttara zone, and 198 in the Gulshan zone. The DMP’s Traffic Division has pledged to persist with these drives to ensure road discipline in Dhaka.
